Research and Development Headquarters

Designed for an oncology research company, the space takes advantage of the long and narrow footprint to create dynamic headquarters. Five skylights bring natural light deep within the space, each associated with a living wall. A reclaimed lumber path arcs through the open office, leading to a bright and open cafe and meeting space, set against the windowed end of the office. Colorful huddle and conference rooms line one side of the path. The extensive use of plantings and access to natural light contributes to a culture of well-being that reinforces Verastem’s mission to cure disease through innovative stem cell technology.

This project received IIDA NE Design Award for Best Research / Lab Design in 2016.
